What is Sapana?
Sapana means 'dream' in Nepali. My name, 'Yume', also means dream in Japanese.
After graduating from Pitzer College, I spent a year in Nepal. I taught English in a remote village near the foothills of the Himalayas, where my pupils called me 'Sapana-miss'.
The time I spent in Nepal was life-altering. I was humbled by the kindness of those who had nothing and was inspired to do something positive for the world. My decision to become a healer, using Traditional Chinese Medicine, has its roots in the Himalayas and the people of Nepal.
