Bio
Yume Takeuchi, M.S., L.Ac.
Yume Takeuchi is a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist, holding a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is also a licensed massage therapist, specializing in shiatsu (Japanese massage).
She received her Masters at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. She has trained clinically with leading acupuncturists as well as at several community clinics in the Bay Area.
During her undergraduate education at PItzer College, she was trained in the art of Qi-gong by a respected master from the Wei-Tuo lineage. Her interests in the "movement of Qi" led her to study TCM in Shanghai, China during her undergraduate studies.
Personal History
Yume was born in Berkeley, California, spent her formative years in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew to adulthood in Tokyo, Japan. She has spent her entire life going back and forth between America and Japan and feels at home in both countries. She is an avid traveler and has visited 6 out of 7 continents
She is devoted to healing, having attended three Vipassana meditation sessions and continues to practice Qi-gong.
Her interests in interior design and feng-shui have allowed her to create a beautiful clinic space that is both calming and healing.
